Safety
Is my drive safe during recovery?

Yes. restoreit takes a read-only handle and streams sectors to the cloud — zero disk-write operations on the source device. Nothing is installed or overwritten.

Do I have to install anything?

No. You connect the device (USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, card reader, or enclosure) and restoreit reads it in the cloud. Nothing touches the affected drive.

Recovery
What can restoreit recover?

Photos, documents, videos, archives, and project files from drives, SD cards, USB sticks, and phones — by signature, filesystem metadata, and heuristic reconstruction of fragments.

Will I know what's recoverable before I pay?

Yes. You preview detected files and confidence scores before you commit. You only restore what you choose.

What does the confidence score mean?

It's a 0–1 score from a safe, sandboxed test-open. A ✓ means the file opens cleanly; "partial" means some data may be missing.

Plans & billing
What's the difference between Recover and Protect?

Recover is a one-time recovery with 30 days of vault storage. Protect is a low monthly plan that keeps your vault forever, lets you back up important files, and includes priority re-recovery. See Pricing.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — cancel Protect anytime from your dashboard, and your vault stays available through the end of the paid period.
